The development of active oligosaccharides has drawn special attention both in academia and industrial circles. As the bifidus growth factor, active oligosaccharides are different from microecology fungus whose efficacy may be easily affected by oxygen or acid; active oligosaccharides can be taken with antibiotics, and they are not prone to inactivation. With the advantage of low production cost, active oligosaccharides also work well in coordinating intestines, lowering blood lipids, and enhancing immune response. In Japan, as well as in Europe, active oligosaccharides have been widely used as food additives and food ingredients.
